MITE conducts mental health session in Kohima

Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE) Kohima conducted a short mental health session and interaction program at its premises on April 9. 

The program was organized by a team from District Mental Health Programme (DMHP), Kohima.

A press release from MITE principal Dr. Devanand Sinha stated that resource persons Veronica Nriame, psychiatric social worker and Ketousenuo Phewhuo, clinical psychologist put special focus on various issues related to mental health, depression and anxiety. 

In the first session, Nriame spoke about various issues and remedies which remain prevalent, unidentified, unrecognized and gets referred to improper agencies. The second session was followed by an interaction between the student-teachers and resource persons. The program ended with an appreciatory note and thanksgiving by Dr. Devanand Sinha.
