MITE team visits NZP and NBA

A team of student-teachers and staff comprising of 100 members from Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE) Kohima, visited Nagaland Zoological Park (NZP) Dimapur and the school for visually impaired students run by Naga Blind Association (NBA), Notun Bosti, Dimapur on April 5. 

The visits were initiated under the theme “Learning to live with the physical and social environment” the visit was undertaken as part of B.Ed curricular activity.

A press release from MITE principal, Devanand Sinha stated that the team, interacting with NBA co-ordinator Lipok was informed that Reservation Policy for PwDs (1995) although enacted in 2003 was yet to materialize.

The student-teachers, through the press release, urged the concerned authority to look into the implementation of the policy in the interest of progressing towards an inclusive society.
