Representative of Pughoboto assembly constituency to Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), Y Vikheho Swu, MLA, made an ardent call to the natives of Pughoboto to collectively work for the economic growth of one of the oldest sub-divisions of the state.

Speaking at the 25th anniversary of Mishilimi Kuqhakulu Dimapur (MKD) Thursday at Mandeville Garden, Jarapukhuri, Purana Bazar, Dimapur, Vikheho emphasised on the need to explore the natural resources, which are abundant in the sub-division, for the region to grow economically.

Sharing his vision for Pughoboto sub-division, Vikheho said he envisages the division to become a wood and meat production centre and to build up a robust food industry.

Through these ventures, the MLA said he aims to make Pughoboto the most resourceful sub-division and one of the best tourist places in Nagaland.

Vikheho said such progressive vision could only materialise through the support, cooperation and sacrifices of the people of the sub-division. He called upon each individual to work for a progressive Pughoboto.

He also pitched for collective conscious initiative to enhance the economy of the division by creating an environment for commerce so that the populace become self-sufficient and self-reliant.

Vikheho also lauded MKD for constructing a waiting shed at Midland near Nikos Hospital Dimapur in commemoration of its silver jubilee celebration. He said such positive contribution should be emulated by others. Lauding Mishilimis for being the forerunners in the different fields, Vikheho encouraged them to continue to inspire others and also advised them to introspect and strive to do better.
