Mobile medical unit (MMU), a project undertaking of The Hans Foundation (THF) was launched, Saturday, at Mongsenyimti village community hall by minister of Housing & Mechanical, Tongpang Ozukum, under the initiative of community educational center society (CECS).

While delivering his speech, Tongpang Ozukum lauded the members of The Hans Foundation and CECS for setting up the MMU, which he said would immensely benefit people. He said that the people would now receive instant treatment, at their doorstep, instead of travelling to hospitals. The minister urged the people to earnestly avail the health facilities provided by MMU.

Earlier, the introduction of MMU was said by CECS director Subonenba Longkumer. Short speeches were also delivered by Rt. Brig. Katariya from THF and SDO (C) Mokokchung, Abhinav Shivam. The function was chaired by co-ordinator MMU Limawapang.   

The MMU will cater to the healthcare needs of 15 villages with Mongsenyimti village as the headquarter. The minister also donated a vehicle for the utilization of MMU which was dedicated by pastor Imli Ozukum
