Manipur social welfare department receiving award for implementation of 100 per cent DBT scheme in the state.

Manipur social welfare department has been awarded for implementing 100 per cent Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) through PFMS. 

The Union ministry of rural development conferred the award to the state social welfare department that ranked 3rd in implementation of DBT in NSAP.

The award was handed over by Union minister for rural development, Narendra Singh Tomar in the presence of minister of state for rural development, Ram Kripal Yadav at Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Tuesday, a release of the state DIPR said.

State social welfare minister, Nemcha Kipgen lauded all the stakeholders and expressed profound gratitude on the achievement of the department.

She said that the department was always working for the welfare of the masses and to deliver the benefits to the right beneficiaries. 

“It is the team work of the officials of the department that such feat has been achieved. DBT for all schemes is always been a main target of the social welfare department since I assumed office as minister of social welfare,” Nemcha said.
