Modi to give away social media accounts to women

NEW DELHI, MAR 3 (AGENCIES) | Publish Date: 3/3/2020 12:48:13 PM IST

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that to mark the upcoming Women’s Day on March 8, he will be “giving away” his social media accounts to women whose life and work inspire us.

The decision came a day after he tweeted his desire to give up his social media accounts.

The Prime Minister also urged the online community to share inspiring stories of women, under the hashtag “#SheInspireUs”, who then can become a part of this campaign. The selected entries will be given a chance to “take over” PM Modi’s Twitter account. His tweet puts a stop to all speculation following his post on Monday that he was thinking of giving up his social media accounts.
