Villagers of Ukha, Mopong and Yakshu villages under Mon district undertook a massive social work drive along the landslide affected area connecting to EAC headquarter Mopong; a stretch of more than half a kilometer. Men folk from all the three villages took part in the social work. Meanwhile, president Mopung Hongkong Students Union L. Kholee informed Nagaland Post that adding to the woes of the current natural calamities, Mopong Hongkong range did not have EAC reliever after the former was transferred out in June. According to Kholee, the seven villages under the range were facing untold hardships even to obtain a signature for PRCs, ST and other forms, after the EAC was transferred.
