Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem(MTLT) has urged upon the PDA leadership to consider its “sincere appeal” to give an opportunity to “an upcoming leader” like Tongpang Ozukum to serve the people with an important portfolio, should there be a reshuffle of the PDA ministry. MTLT also acknowledged that it was the prerogative of the chief minister to effect any kind of changes in his ministry.

MTLT in a statement issued by its media cell, pointed out that it was after many years that a “young capable minister in the person of Tongpang Ozukum” was made a minister of an important portfolio.

Maintaining that it has no knowledge whether there would be any minor reshuffle in the PDA government, the MTLT, however, expressed belief that Ozukum should be given at least a few more time so his mettle could be tested to the fullest.

MTLT hailed Ozukum for undertaking developmental activities carried out not only in Mokokchung district but also in different parts of the state during the past one year. It said Ozukum’s achievements have also received appreciation from different quarters.

MTLT also said Ozukum was one of the most enthusiastic ministers in the present PDA dispensation who tirelessly worked for the people and ensured that developmental activities in his ministry were executed attentively. Further, MTLT has appealed to the state chief minister Neiphiu Rio, PDA chairman Chingwang Konyak and BJP Nagaland unit president, Temjen Imna Along Longkumer to review the working of their esteemed colleagues - the ministers and advisors - and effect the changes so that the present trend of developmental activities initiated by the PDA government was not disrupted in any manner.
