Meriema Village Gazetted Officers’ Krotho (MVGOK) observed its 1st foundation day at council hall, Meriema village on Saturday. 

Retired principal director, H&FW department, Dr. Neikietuo Chiesotsu, the guest speaker urged the officers to contribute and work for the growth and progress of the society and its village with their knowledge, talents and skills.

Chiesotsu urged them to maintain amicable relations with all its subordinates stating that it was important to have good relation, unity and harmony with all the staff from the bottom to the top to have a smooth working environment.

Besides, he further maintained that to achieve greater things in one’s profession, it was crucial to be sincere, honest and dedicated to whatever one was assigned to.

MVGOK president, Neidilhou Keditsu, who is also the joint director, department of Economics and Statistics said the primary objective of the Krotho was to familiarise with one another and enlighten each other with knowledge.

At the same time, he said it endeavoured to help and guide the students and assist and support the elders towards the development of the village in various ways. The members have also approved its constitution, logo and motto.

Meritorious awards were given to those who successfully passed out from various competitive exams. Krotho has also acknowledged its retired head of departments and gazetted officers. 

It was informed that the Krotho has 17 registered gazetted officers serving in various departments.
