Medziphema Town Youth Organisation (MTYO) held a general meeting on April 14 at CYO Hall, Medziphema Town, attended by youths from all wards and colonies.

MYTO general secretary, Mhasilevi Kuotsu, and information secretary Kevisetso Rino, in a press release reported that meeting reaffirmed that the organization will abide by its earlier resolutions. Citing a resolution passed earlier in September 2006, MTYO reaffirmed its decision to not let illigal immigrants reside in the jurisdiction of Medziphema Town. It further resolved that no outsider will be allowed to interfere or mediate in internal affairs of youth that pertain to Medziphema Town.

The MTYO will also continue to check liquor outlets, drug peddlers, etc. in accordance to its rules and regulations and also, sternly deal with anyone who create disturbances under the influence of intoxicants.

Besides discussing many other matters, views and opinions were also shared in an open discussion of agendas during the meeting. The general secretary concluded the session requesting youth officials of different wards to communicate necessary information and implement the resolutions.

The meeting was presided over by MTYO president, Asazo Talie. The house also acknowledged the contribution of well-wishers who helped the youth throughout the years in different ways, and decided to organize another get-together of all the youth someday.
