N.L reading room inaugurated in Kohima

To help the students in preparatory exams and encourage habit of reading, N.L. reading room, an initiative by aspirants for aspirants was inaugurated at Billy Graham Road, Kohima on May 6. 

A press release from Nyanbemo Lotha stated that, press secretary to the deputy chief minister, Dr. Chanchibemo Shitio officially inaugurated the reading room, which was dedicated by Lotha Baptist Church, DBS sector, pastor Zuchonthung Ovung. 

Dr. Chanchibemo Shitio in his brief address exhorted that reading was essential for a person to progress significantly in life. He was optimistic that the reading room would inspire many youths to develop the habit of reading and take the society to greater heights. 

The reading room was aimed at students and graduates who were looking for a motivating platform to take their preparation to a consistent and persistent level. 

Some of the facilities available at the reading room are local and national dailies and all reputed monthly journals, besides reference materials for UPSC and NPSC, motivational speeches from achievers occasionally and periodic current affairs review.
