Naga WrestleMania 8 in Kohima

The invitational Naga WrestleMania 8 - King Of The Ring Championship 2021 is all set for a showdown on February 27, from 3 p.m. onwards at Naga Solidarity Park (SP), Kohima. 

The one day event is organised by 3E Nagaland under the aegis of Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA).
3E Nagaland, management head, Kethosituo Elvis Mepfhüo, said 20 Naga wrestlers would be vying for the coveted title "King Of The Ring Championship 2021".  The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000, runner-up Rs 30,000 while Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 for third and fourth positions respectively. 
The event will be streamed live for pay-per-view (PPV) on Facebook making it the first ever PPV event in the history of Naga wrestling.
Facebook users can follow Naga WrestleMania page for details and also to buy PPV access to the event ‘King Of The Ring Championship 2021’ using any debit card at the cost of Rs. 249 only.  Meanwhile, in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the managing head informed that despite the venue having more than 1000 seating capacity, it would be limited to around 400 tickets which will be made available at the venue costing Rs. 300 for gallery and Rs. 2000 for donors. 
He further informed that strict SOPs issued by the health department will be followed. 
All attendees at the championship including wrestlers, officials and spectators must compulsorily wear masks and would undergo thermal screening and sanitizing procedures before entry into the venue.
Some of the prominent Naga style wrestlers participating the event include NWA reigning champion and two times king of the ring champion Venuzo Dawhuo, NWA runners-up and former ASA champ Kezhaseluo-o Pienyü, former NWA champ and reigning NWA Open Champion Menuosetuo Yiese, former Zeliang champ Nlumrai Hegwang, reigning Chakhesang Open Wrestling Champion Kezhavizo Thevo, former 3-time Hornbill Wrestling Champion, former NWA Open Champion and Naga WrestleMania Heavyweight Champion Dzieselatuo Keretsü, reigning 2-time Khezha-Kuzha-Tephe Wrestling Champion Reka Mero, reigning Phek Area Wrestling Champion Vekuzo Vezuh.
