 Nagaland on Thursday reported 21 COVID-19 positive cases from across the state-- 17 in Kohima, 2 in Kohima, 1 each in Mon and Peren, taking the tally to 6,736. As per the severity of symptoms, 1096 active cases were asymptomatic, 40 mild, 10 moderate, 1 severe and 2 on ventilator.

Further, out of 6736 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people include 3154 from the armed forces/police, 1540 returnees, 1681 traced contacts and 361 frontline workers.

India’s COVID tally breach 68L mark

PTI: India saw a single-day rise of 78,524 COVID-19 cases taking the tally to over 68 lakh, Health Ministry stated. The total cases mounted to 68,35,655, while the death toll climbed to 1,05,526 with 971 people succumbing to the disease in a span of 24 hours.
