Nagaland on Friday registered 16 new COVID-19 positive cases and two more recoveries. With this the state’s total tally stood at 371-- active cases 209 and 162 recoveries.

In a tweet, Health minister S. Pangnyu Phom said that the positive cases were reported from 539 samples that were tested. He said 15 patients were from Kohima quarantine centre and 1 from Peren quarantine centre. He also informed that two more patients had recovered from COVID-19. Both patients were from Jalukie, Peren.
In his daily briefing, principal secretary Home, Abhijit Sinha informed that as per the severity of symptoms, 204 active cases were asymptomatic and 5 active cases were with mild symptoms.
As per the distribution of the 371 cases by age, 4 cases were between 0-17 years, 353 cases between 18-44 years, 12 cases between 45-64 years and 2 cases between 65-74 years. As per the distribution of gender, there are 265 males and 106 females.
Currently, 5960 persons have been lodged at the facility quarantine centres.
