Nagaland COVID tally now 387

Nagaland on Saturday reported 16 more COVID-19 positive cases and two recoveries, taking the state’s total tally to 387 cases-- 223 active and 164 recovered cases, till June 27.

According to Health minister S. Pangnyu Phom the 16 new cases were reported out of 422 samples that were tested-- 12 from Mon quarantine centre and 2 from Dimapur quarantine centre. Further, Pangnyu said that two patients from Dimapur recovered on Saturday.

As per the severity of symptoms, 218 active cases were asymptomatic and 5 with mild symptoms.

Till date, a total of 11,158 samples were tested and results of 10,197 samples were received.

Out of the 11,158 samples, 7715 samples were sent to BSL-3 lab at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) and a total of 6,981 samples were tested, out of which 316 samples tested positive. 

In addition, a total of 4246 samples were tested by TrueNat, out of which 73 samples have tested positive and sent for confirmation by RT-PCR. 

Currently, 4290 persons are lodged at the facility quarantine centres.
