Nagaland police gear-up  for Lok Sabha elections

Nagaland Police held a unit commanders’ conference on February 8 to review the law and order situation in all districts and to discuss preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections at Rhododendron hall, Chumoukedima. 

According to PRO, Police Headquarters (PHQ) Kohima, senior officers gave various presentations on different topics and discussions were held on the current law and order situation, border issues, Free Movement Regime (FMR), crime across various districts, and traffic management of Dimapur.

A training program was held in the evening for police officers and unit election nodal officers, conducted by office of the Chief Election Officer (CEO) and their team. Abhijit Sinha CEO Nagaland gave a presentation on various duties and roles expected of the police. 

The meet concluded with the police officers resolving to contribute their best so that conduct of the upcoming parliamentary elections could be successful. The meeting was attended by Director General of Police, T. John Longkumer along with senior officers from the PHQ and all district SPs and commandants of units.
