Nagaland U-15 girls jersey launched
Zale Neikha along with Akumla Chuba and Nagaland’s U-15 girls team during the official launching of jerseys and traditional attire on Friday.

The official jerseys and traditional wear for Nagaland’s U-15 girls team, who will be participating in the ensuing Gothia Cup 2019 in Sweden, was launched by Zale Neikha, advisor, Youth Resources and Sports IG Stadium, Kohima on Friday. 

The advisor formally launched the jerseys and traditional wear in the presence of Akumla Chuba, Director, YRS.   Neikha informed that the team would be wearing the traditional attire during the inaugural function of the tournament which will be held on July 15. 

Besides the 15 member U-15 team, the advisor along with two team coaches – FIFA Grade-A coach Sebastian Rasmussen and State coach Ruopfuo Meyase and other officials would be leaving on July 10 to Delhi for their onward journey to Sweden.  Mention may be made here that the department is taking the first ever such initiative to take the local talents for exposure outside India in commemoration of the 100th year birth anniversary of legendary Naga footballer, Dr T Ao.

The Department in collaboration with Soccer Competition had been conducting training session since March 2019 for the U-15 girls football team to play in Gothia Cup under the name SC Nagaland.
