Nagaland wildlife division gets giant lizard

A giant lizard which was found by a footballer, Roko Angami at his farm was donated to the State wildlife division at Kohima on Monday. 

Roko donated the lizard to the wildlife division officials at Blyth’s Tragopan Conservation & Breeding Centre, Kohima. 

The giant lizard, weighting around two and half kg and 3.4 feet long was found at his farm in Zhadima village under Kohima district. 

Kiukhenshi S. Yimchunger, Forester- I Kohima said the lizard will be handed over to Nagaland Zoological Park, Rangapahar Dimapur.

Kiukhenshi acknowledge Angami for coming forward voluntarily, thereby strengthening the wildlife conservation efforts in Nagaland. On July 28 this year, Roko along with Seyiekhrielie Rio, BDO Chiephobozou also donated eight feet long python to the wildlife division.
