Natsumi village centennial conference

Natsumi village celebrated its hundred years of Christianity at Natsumi Baptist Church (NBC) under the theme “Ampeu kikimiye ghenguno pa sheqhelo” Psalm 117:1-2 from January 3 to 5. 

A press release by convener programme committee Hotoi I. Kiho stated that speakers for the centennial conference were Rev.  Hotokhu P. Zhimomi ES SABAK, Rev. Dr. Khehovi Shohe director SBC, Rev. Kiyeto G. Sumi senior pastor SABCK. Speaking at centennial conference, the speakers spoke on the call of God, the Holy spirit, God anointing and the congregation should honour and respect the 1st convert to Christian Ashu Shikhu Assumi (1920) and the pioneers of the village. Speakers emphasized that it was due to them that they had come thus far and with the celebration of centenary jubilee there would be peace, harmony, cooperation, unity and blessings among the villagers.
Vikheho Y. Swu MLA speaking to the gathering as a special guest at cultural programme exhorted to preserve cultural identity and maintenance of natural resources. Greetings speeches were delivered by Er. Hutovi Swu EE Water Resources, Er. Kikheto Swu (Rtd.) SE NPWD, Zuvito Wotsa managing director NIDC and Pukhaxu Achumi (Rtd.) associate professor stated that jubilee was a time of thanksgiving to God for His faithfulness, and blessings. 
Earlier in the introductory service, Sukhavi G. Swu chairman planning board offered welcome address. Jubilee choir led by Vikato Awomi music director SABCK presented “Natsümi Anthem”, vote of thanks was proposed by Kiyelho Kiho and Yekivi Z. Swu pastor NBA conducted thanksgiving service.
