NAYO condemns March 12 incident

 Northern Angami Youth Organisation (NAYO) has condemned the March 12 incident where it alleged that one Vibi Mero, of Pfütseromi Village committed battery with attempt to murder on Abeinuo Jasmine, EAC Sakraba.

In a condemnation note, NAYO president Roko Angami and general secretary Ruokuoneitso Kire alleged that Vibi Mero, a dealing assistant EAC Headquarter, had made unauthorized deduction of a sum of Rs. 100 each from remuneration made towards the officers and various staff coming for election duty.

However, when the EAC, Abeinuo Jasmine intervened, NAYO claimed that Vibi committed the heinous crime.

NAYO warned that if any untoward incident happen to Abeinuo in the process, the organisation will hold the person(s) responsible for bailing him. It also opposed granting of bail to the accused, as the case was in the initial process, adding whoever bails the accused would be doing so at their own risk.

NAYO also appealed to the authority concern to not entertain any bail plea to anyone. 

Since Abeinuo was a respected member of the organization, NAYO said that it will not remain a mute spectator to any adversity shown or meted out towards any of its members.
