Pastor Kilang Longkumer maintained that members of the committee decided to kick-start the multi-faceted campaign, sanitising the church complex so as to dispel fear and focus on the Word of God. The initiative would be conducted every Wednesday, Saturday and Sundays when church conducts worship services.

Meanwhile, the committee stated that it would be distributing children’s masks to the Sunday school children and that all worship centres and Sunday school would be provided with hand washing facilities and hand sanitizers. Special demonstration for hand washing techniques will also be carried out for the benefit of the church members and other settlers of the village.

Further, posters and placards with information on the disease will be displayed at vantage points in the village to generate awareness pertaining to the dreaded disease. Kilang further informed that the church would also work towards preventing spread of fake news and assist the government and other agencies in disseminating authentic information to the mass.
