Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) in collaboration with the Nagaland Bar Association (NBA) conducted legal awareness campaign as part of the year-long golden celebration of NBA at Molu Ki para medical colony Kohima on Friday.
Principal, district and session judge and chairperson Kohima DLSA Khesheli Chishi (NJS) in her address reminded the gathering that the profession of advocate was honourable as it raise the voice of others, but also sensitive and therefore needed to be handled carefully.  
She also reminded the advocate that they have enormous responsibility in the society and therefore cautioned them not to misuse it. She also challenged the advocate not to run after money but work for the downtrodden people. She further urged the bar members to pursue for a separate high court in the state.  
Senior advocate and convenor golden jubilee celebration committee, Akito Zhimomi speaking on money lending and law, said “money-lending business should possess license without which it was illegal”. He also highlighted the various provisions and laws under Nagaland money lending Act 2005.

In the programme chaired by Veshwiipoyi Theyo finance secretary KBA, welcome address was delivered by Elivil Zao vice president NBA. 
The introductory address was delivered by general secretary NBA V. Hukavi Zhimomi.  Rainbow Ngullie and Khumchuba Chang gave paper presentations on the welfare schemes, legal support system, human trafficking and consumer, while president High Court Bar Association Kohima, Ashipri Zho proposed vote of thanks.
The programme was attended by NSLA member secretary Mezivolu Therieh, NBA members, NSLA members, advocates, law students and others.
