The Centre’s plan to sign a peace agreement involving all factions of the National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) is yielding results as some of the senior members of the insurgent outfit’s Saoraigwra faction are reportedly in touch with the government of India to start peace parleys soon.

According to reports, some members of NDFB-S, led by its chairman B Saoraigwra have already reached New Delhi  and set to meet the government of India representatives to start peace parleys.

The Progressive faction of the NDFB has already been in ceasefire with the government since 2005 and participating in the peace talks with the Centre.

The government has been initiating to solve the NDFB issue within short span of months through political dialogue involving all factions of the militant outfit organisations for permanent peace.

The initiative of the banned Saoraigwra faction of the NDFB to start peace process with the Centre assumes significance as the NDFB-S is considered to be the only remaining Bodo insurgent group active in the state.
