NDPP mourns

NDPP has expressed shocked over the news of the sudden and untimely demise of Yeanglong Konyak on August 10 morning. 

A condolence message from NDPP president Chingwang Konyak said that late Yeanglong, who hailed from Totok Chingnyu village under Mon District was an active social worker and was the chairman, Totok Chingnyu village, and he had also served as the vice president, Konyak Union.

The message said that in his death, Totok Chingnyu village in particular, and the Nagas in general had lost a sincere and hard working leader, and the vacuum so created would be difficult to fill.

It further said that Konyak along with all rank and file of the NDPP join the denizens of Totok village to convey heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. It further conveyed prayers for the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
