Moments after Dibrugarh MP Rameswar Teli was sworn in as a Union minister by President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday evening, leaders from across the Northeast congratulated the leader for his induction in PM Narendra Modi’s new government, reports East Mojo.

Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal took to Twitter to wish Teli all the best: “Congratulations to Dibrugarh MP Shri Rameshwar Teli on taking oath as MoS in the Union Council of Ministers.  My best wishes to the grassroot leader, who brings people’s aspiration to the national platform & has served the nation with pride & dignity. #ModiSwearingIn.” 
Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu too congratulated him on Twitter: “Congratulations to Hon’ble Shri Rameshwar Teli Ji on being sworn in as Union Minister. My best wishes for success in your new duties”. Similarly, Manipur CM N Biren Singh, too, took to Twitter: “Congratulations and best wishes to Shri Rameswar Teli of Assam on being part of #ModiSarkar2.”
Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio said he was hopeful that Teli’s induction into the new government will “leverage all-round development of the region”: “Congratulations @KirenRijiju and #RameswarTeli from the #NorthEastIndia on being inducted in the #ModiSarkaar2. We are proud of you and hopeful that your induction into the new government will leverage all-round development of the region.
Assam minister and North East Democratic Alliance convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma also joined the other leaders in congratulating Teli: I join people of Assam in wishing best to the very bright Sri Rameshwar Teli as he joins the Union Council of Ministers. You represent aspiration and dreams of people of a #NewIndia. Congratulations. Do well and bring us laurles with your hard work. #ModiSwearingIn”.
