NEEPCO observes Vigilance Awareness Week

North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) is observed Vigilance Awareness Week from October 27 November 2   in its various offices and projects located at different locations across the country as per direction and guidelines of Central Vigilance Commission. 

A press release by the DGM (C) Vigilance stated that in the current year, the Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed under the theme “Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat (Vigilant India, Prosperous India)”. Accordingly, integrity pledge as circulated by the Central Vigilance Commission and E-pledge through Corporation’s website has been taken by the employees in the respective locations. All persons with whom the Corporation deals with , such as vendors, suppliers, contractors, etc. are also requested to take the E- pledge through Corporation’s website, which is hyperlinked with the website of Central Vigilance Commission. 
Further, at the outset of the Vigilance Awareness Week, the Central Vigilance Commission has launched a new initiative for citizens to suggest systemic improvements in central government organisations. These suggestions may be sent directly to the Central Vigilance Commission from October 27 to November 14  by email (coord1-cvc@nic.in) or telephone (011-24651632). Citizens may also give system improvement suggestions pertaining to NEEPCO if any, till November 14 by email (vigilance@neepco.co.in) or telephone (0364- 2503652).
The press release further informed all offices/projects under NEEPCO have been advised to strictly adhere to extant Covid-19 prevention guidelines at all locations and events. In addition, all Offices/Projects have also been directed to strictly adhere to the economy measures issued by the Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India vide the Department of Expenditure OM No. 7(2)E. Coord/2020 dated 4.9.2020,the release added.
