MSW students of NEISSR along with faculty members on April 10 organized a special prayer meeting for the elections in Nagaland, in the morning at the institute’s assembly hall.

A press release from principal of NEISSR stated that students prayed for clean elections in Nagaland, free from vote buying and selling for money, favour and against intimidation, threats and violence. They also prayed for upholding sacred individual rights to choose the right candidate to represent the people of Nagaland.

The release also stated that the students then proceeded to their respective home polling stations to exercise their individual rights to vote.

Three days ago, MSW students of NEISSR also launched a campaign through social media with the slogans: Say No to Proxy Voting; Say, I vote for myself and Say No to Money for Vote; Say, I Value my Vote; after taking a pledge together at the institute’s assembly hall.

Launched on December 3,1990. Nagaland Post is the first and highest circulated newspaper of Nagaland state. Nagaland Post is also the first newspaper in Nagaland to be published in multi-colour.
