NERLP conducts farmers trg in Jalukie

North East Rural Livelihood Project (NERLP) in collaboration with ATMA Peren conducted a two day farmers training program on July 17 and 18 at Hotel Tamzaipa, Jalukie town. 
A press release from DAO & PD ATMA Peren, Hewoto Sema stated that resource persons from ATMA Peren, Akam Zeliang and Alonba Jamir emphasized on organic pest and disease management. The farmers were also trained on preparation of neem based insecticides and fungicide by using the plant’s extracts.
The attendees, who were the lead farmers of the village, were trained on organic cultivation practices of vegetables viz. cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, tomato, tree tomato (Tomarillo), french beans and radish. The training was attended by 26 farmers from 26 villages from all the four blocks viz. Jalukie, Peren, Tening and Ahthibung block. 
The program was chaired by coordinator livelihood and rural marketing NERLP, Amos Pauzerang Newme. The training concluded with feedback from farmers of all the four blocks.
