NERLP resource persons training in Dimapur

A three-day residential ToT for Community Resource Person (CRP) from NERLP (North East Rural Livelihood Project) Peren district was conducted at AIDA Don Bosco, Dimapur from August 21 – 23. The program was organised by NERLP in collaboration with MYRADA, a grass roots level promotion organisation of Bangalore.

In a press release, SG&CM coordinator NERLP Peren district, Masanwangliu, stated that the resource persons were Shivashankar and Ravi. The key objective of the training was to understand the concept and functions of SHGs, books of records, utilization of loan and repayment and Panchasutra; also to understand the concept and functions of village level federation, governance, fund management, accountability and roles and responsibility of office bearers, sub committees and conflict management.

The training was a “handholding support” of sorts for NERLP Tuensang district. The CRPs round will be continued in counterpart districts.

All together ten CRPs and three project facilitator staff left for the CRPs Tuensang round of training, to begin from August 27 on to September 24. 

The team arrived in Tuensang on August 25, where the CRPs were ready for the field trip. The CRPs will be in five teams covering 12 villages each, all together 60 villages will be covered by September 24.

The program began with a prayer song which was followed by a welcome address by coordinator, Social Gender and Community Mobilization from NERLP Peren district, Masanwangliu. On the third day, the training concluded with the post test and receiving feed-back from all the participants.
