New CMO office building inaugurated in Mokokchung

The inauguration of the new chief medical officer (CMO) office building Mokokchung was held today where Dr. Vikeyie Losu, principal director, Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland attended as the special invitee.

Speaking at the programme, the PD said that the new CMO building at Mokokchung was considered as the biggest CMO building in the state. PD further expressed hope that many new changes will come through this new building and added that this new building will be the hub of activity for the district in health care services. 

He also lauded that there was a good team of doctors and medical staff in Mokokchung who have been performing their duties responsibly and making the district hospital (IMDH) as one of the best in the state. 

He further lauded the hospital saying that the efforts put up by the concerned here at the hospital was very encouraging and will be exemplary for other health units to emulate thus making it grow bigger and better. Dr. Vikeyie Losu also encouraged the staff to give their best service, to have co-ordination, to support and work with each other hand in hand so that together they can bring great changes to the department.

Earlier in the programme, short speeches were delivered by Thungchanbemo Tungoe SDO (C) Mokokchung on behalf of the district administration, Imkong Jamir, vice president Ao Senden and Dr. Akaba retired CMO Mokokchung. A brief technical report of the building was also presented by the engineering wing of the department. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. R. Chubala Aier CMO Mokokchung and the programme was chaired by Dr. P. Medemmayang, medical superintendent, IMDH Mokokchung.
