In an order, Tetseo informed that the May 17 order and all car passes issued by Dimapur Police “ON COVID 19 DUTY” will be invalid with effect from June 28, 2020.

Further, CP said that the ‘odd-even’ traffic system in Dimapur will continue, except on Sundays.

Exempted: Those vehicles under essential services category, as notified earlier will be exempted.

Further, government employees on bonafide government duties and vehicles involved in providing essential services/COVID-19 related duties will be exempted from the purview of the restriction on production of relevant documents and valid ID proof.

Two wheelers shall also be exempted from this traffic restriction.

All heavy vehicles, except those engaged in 4-lane construction work with valid permit, will be restricted from plying within the town area and highway area from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The CP warned that violation of the order will be liable to be penalized under Section 177 and 179 of the MV Act 1988.

In this regard, CP has appealed to all to abide by the order issued in the interest of public safety.
