NIDC organises SC-ST conclave

District level SC – ST conclave programme organized by the Nagaland Industrial Development Cooperation Ltd (NIDC) in collaboration with Industries and Commerce department, Government of Nagaland under NSSH Schemes of the Ministry of MSEME Government of India was conducted at EBRC hall, Longleng on October 23. 

DC Longleng, M. Shayung Phom graced the conclave as special guest.

According to DIPR, the DC in his inaugural speech spoke on the economic development, its earning and saving. 

He encouraged the participants not to miss any opportunity and urged them to learn and gain something from the programme and inspire their lives. 

He also shared about own entrepreneurship for self employment such as sewing and tailoring, handicrafts, shoe making, etc to boost rural economy. 

He also asserted that the district administration and the Assam Rifles were ready to assist and support any organization and individual in the days to come.

In his keynote address, Sabaringiri M assistant director MSEME Dimapur talked about the micro small medium entrepreneur plan and machinery investment and economic activities. 

 MS Kaushik Major Assam Rifle, Longleng in his special speech asserted that students should play a main role for entrepreneurship as Nagaland lacked behind. He appealed the participating students to learn new skills and individual development to resolve the growing unemployment problems in the state.     

In the technical session various schemes and activities were presented by different departments. The programme was chaired by Lipom Phom and invocation by Tia executive secretary PBCA, Longleng. 

Welcome address was delivered by Akhaba Sangtam, general manager, DIC, Longleng.  

Meanwhile, awareness programme for SC-ST entrepreneurs was also held at town hall Changtongya on October 25. 

SDO (C) Changtongya, Moakumzuk Tsudir encourage the entrepreneurs to learn and make use of this opportunity reminding them that business was a challenging job  but most rewarding when one succeed. 

Short speech was delivered by C. M Lotha managing director NIDC Ltd, where he said that National SC-ST hub was an initiative of the ministry of MSME, Government of India to reach to the maximum SC and ST entrepreneurs by offering them various central schemes. 

Altogether 78 participants under Changtongya Sub-Division attended the programme.
