Niki Sumi-led NSCN (K) Wednesday said it was confounded at the kind of statements being generated by certain Naga political groups time and again with no substance or truth. At the end of the day, it said that if any political solution was to be arrived at, it would be between Government of India and all Naga stakeholders. In a statement through its MIP, Niki-led group reiterated that it did “not come out to measure differences of one another, point fingers at others or create enmity but to pave the way for peace to prevail in our land”.

The MIP said it was very unfortunate that some Naga political groups were creating unwanted situation by repeatedly hurling “unfounded and baseless allegation”, adding that any matured and responsible organisation/government would try to be efficient and fulfil the expectations of people, rather than always trying to find fault in others.

MIP said that it had never questioned who went where to achieve “our inherent political rights” as all national workers were at liberty to choose which group they want to work under. It pointed out that the double standards shown by certain political groups indulging in cheap publicity over “home comers” was out in the open for all to see for, at the end of the day, there would be only one Naga political solution inclusive of all Nagas.

The group further clarified that, being included as a third entity, it did not espouse or encourage mudslinging or divisions among Naga brethren or believe that this would culminate in an amiable and inclusive political solution.

“NSCN/GPRN is not delusional as to believe that there can be multiple number of peace or political solution, as it is a factual reality that Nagas as one unified people and one nation can only have a singular unified political settlement and there are no two ways about it,” the release added.
