Nagaland Law Students' Federation (NLSF) at the joint meeting with the minister of Environment, Forest and Climate, Justice and Law, CM Chang at his office in Kohima on November 20 apprised the minster on the need to establish separate High Court (HC) in the state and setting up of Directorate of Prosecution at the earliest. In a statement, NLSF president C Talimoa, general secretary Dieku Wetsah and information secretary Renbeni Ezung stated that in this regard, they had submitted a representation to the CM Chang reminding him that it was painful and embarrassing that till date, there was no separate HC in the state. NLSF stated that only with the establishment of separate HC, the aspirations of the people of Nagaland including the legal fraternity will be met. NLSF fervently appealed to the concerned minister and authority to take the issue on top priority. NLSF in a separate letter has also appealed to the concerned authority to establish a Directorate of Prosecution in the state.
