NMC tribute concert to be held in Kohima

 Naga Musicians Collective (NMC) will be organizing a two-day tribute concert in partnership with TaFMA Nagaland on October 25 and 26 at 5 p.m onwards at the Heritage Old DC Bungalow. 

This was announced by NMC president Andrew Ngully during press conference held at hotel Japfü Kohima on Monday night.
Ngully said NMC was started in 2009 by likeminded group of musicians and registered as a society with an aim to bolster the music culture in the state and to promote talented and upcoming musicians in Nagaland. 
NMC also provides  artistes with assured routes to music industries, facilitate manual dexterity to set up and control production equipments such as sound, lighting, staging etc, he stated.  NMC advisor and convenor tribute concert, Vipopal Kintso highlighted the features of the concert artistes and bands which includes host band NMC, DGP Band, East Wind Wood Band, Squadron, Linda Solo, Dr. Nicky Kire and friends, Methaneilie Jutakhrie Solo, Alemtemshi Jamir (IAS Retd), Dr. Kethoser Kevichusa, Narola Jati and many more. 
Kintso said NMC has shortlisted more than 20 musicians to pay homage who were no more. Kintso said NMC wanted to kick off the tribute concert this year and planned to make it an annual event. 
He also said that  NMC will work to promote young upcoming musicians in the state  and help them sustain as artistes. He announced that during the nights concert, the NMC would give away excellence award in music. NMC has extended invitation to the tribute family members, music lovers and public to witness the show. The organizer informed the ticket price has been fixed  Rs. 200 per head for one night and Rs. 2000 for donor. He further formed that around 50 songs would be played by different musician and bands.
The organizer informed that the tickets will be available at Symphony School of Music, Unitex opposite war cemetery, Dream Cafe, Popular Bakery High School Junction, Kiwi Store Jail Colony, Seluoba Bakery, Sports Inventory Music and Garage D block.
