Naga National Council (Parent Body) has once again called upon all Naga groups in the “homeland” to sit across the table to work out the best possible solution for Naga National Unity for the sake of Freedom from occupation.

In a press note, NNC (PB) vice president Z. Yimchungrü urged all not to remain as factions and be laughingstock of the enemy, but unite to become a real strength and power to achieve our rightful freedom.

NNC also appealed all the national workers not to be a victims or stooges of the enemy, saying the “our” future destiny was more important than anything else as Nagas have fought for the last  more than seven long decades and this very political problem was and is well known to the outside world.

NNC said the Naga National Unity was the only answer to “our peoples desire for peace and freedom”. Therefore, it appealed the National Workers to meet the peoples’ desire and yearning for peace and freedom for the best interest of “our Homeland”.

NNC also appealed to all foreign visitors to remember the political plight of the Nagas, at this crucial juncture of the Naga political history, as a people and nation in this part of the world.

Meanwhile, NNC wished the people in the “Naga Homeland and the foreigners” in particular a Merry Christmas “in the name of our Saviour Jesus Christ.”
