NNF appeals for issuance of societies’ registration renewal

Nagaland NGOs Forum (NNF) has appealed that functional NGOs be allowed to carry forward their works without much hindrance.

In an appeal to chief secretary of Nagaland, the NNF president Dr. Y. Hesheto Chishi and general secretary, Chenithung Humtsoe stated that, earlier all the registered societies required to renew their registration after every two years. 
Pointing out that due to COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, all filed movements remained at standstill, whereby the NNF stated that, the societies who required renewal of registration from March 2020 till date were facing untold challenges to renew the ongoing projects as well as applying for new projects. It stated that, the requirements of qualifying for application on both cases was an updated registration, mandatory for all governmental and other non-governmental agencies’ schemes.
Therefore, the NNF has appealed the concerned authority to intervene in the districts level to start processing of renewals.
