Noke Wangnao visits ATC Diphupar

Social Welfare, Home Guards and Civil Defence advisor, Noke Wangnao visited the ongoing ICDS-CAS training for master trainers for supervisors and Anganwadi workers from all over Nagaland, on April 26 at Anganwadi Training Centre (ATC), Diphupar. 

A press release from Child Development Project Office Dimapur, Robert Odyuo stated that the advisor promised smart phones to all 3980 Anganwadi workers and the 167 supervisors (a total of 4147) of Nagaland so that they may monitor the Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyan in real-time. 

Noke encouraged the trainees to work hard and tirelessly to make the project successful. He also inspected the office of DPO (ICDS), DWO, CDPO (R) and the growth monitoring devices to be used to address malnourishment, anaemia and stunting among children (0-6 years), pregnant women, lactating mothers and adolescent girls.

Interacting with Dimapur district social welfare officers, the advisor encouraged them to work hard and also thanked them for their service to the people. He said, Nagaland being a consumer State, the department functions on funds from the Central government, and he is making all effort to bring sufficient funds for the department.

He also visited the Central Store at Purana Bazaar and the Vocational Training Centre for PwDs, which is under construction,

Noke was accompanied by Social Welfare secretary, Sarah R. Ritse; director, T. Merangtsungba Aier; additional director, Tulula Ponger and other department officials.
