Noklak DPDB and Pughoboto SDPDB conduct monthly meetings

Noklak and Pughoboto held its monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) and Sub Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meetings for the month of November on November 13 at DC’s conference hall and DB court hall respectively.

According to DIPR report, Noklak DPDB meeting was chaired by IAS Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman DPDB, Reny Wilfred. DC said that it is the responsibility of government employees to deliver justice to the people who deserve to be served. He highlighted on the ground reality that is existing in the surrounding areas which has been witnessed during spot verification and encouraged the members to serve people through their service.

During review of the last meeting minutes, the DC reminded all the departments concerned for necessary action in submitting the activities going on and the plan of action.

The meeting discussed on the proposal for requirement of land/site for Police establishment at Noklak headquarter, construction of school building at GHS Noklak village, registration of ‘Refined Cluster Society ‘ of Noklak village, construction of Transit Camp at ITC, Dan (Pangsha) under BADP which were decided to be forwarded to higher authorities for approval. 

Regarding improvement of medical facilities at ITC, Dan (Pangsha) in the recently upgraded PHC, which is the first point of reference for people particularly coming from Myanmar of the ‘Free Movement Region’, the members unanimously approved the agenda to be forwarded to the concerned department.

Agenda for assessment of connectivity needs for effective border trade activity at ITC, Dan (Pangsha) was discussed and decided to endorse the matter to EE R&B, Noklak for his report to be taken up with the government. Further, the stretch of road from 15 Km to New Pangsha village measuring 6 Km (appprox)  which is vital and usually used for travel has been recommended to be taken up by the NPWD since the stretch of road is not being under any department till date. 

Construction of ‘Border Haat’ and operationalization through the department of Industry and Commerce was approved by the house to be forwarded to the concern authority for consideration in order to facilitate trade activity. Proposal as submitted by the Department of Power, Noklak was discussed and approved to be forwarded to the concerned department for necessary consideration.

Department of Urban Development presented the departmental activities during the meeting. State Bank of India has been entrusted to deliver the “Power Point Presentation” in the next meeting.

Pughoboto SDPDB meeting: The meeting was chaired by MLA & SDPDB chairman Pughoboto, Y.Vikheho Swu. In the meeting, the MLA asked the EE (R&B) Pughoboto to maintain the roads and the need to progress the roads with visibility. He also directed the PWD to maintain the road from Kashanyu junction to Pughoboto town and Pughoboto to Mukalimi and other areas before Christmas. 

Swu further informed the department to clear the jungle on the roads side in Doyang (Tapu) areas at the right season. MLA assured to provide excavator (JCB) to Kichilimi to clear up the roads at the earliest.

SDAO Myanthung Patton who presented department activities through a slide show delivered on Focus-IFAD, PMKISAN and other CSS programmes implemented by the department. 

He mentioned that efforts are being made to produce winter crops like pea, gram, broccoli, cabbage, etc through groups and individual farmers. He stressed that farmers should produce crops in every season for self sufficiency.

CDPO Ghathashi, Chiro also presented the activities of the social department. She said that although pandemic is on, programmes were conducted in the sub-division under Ghathashi ICDS project under Pughoboto sub-division. The project covers all 53 Anganwadi centers in all 24 villages and town.

The xext power point presentation will be presented by Industries & Commerce and Soil & Water conservation department. The house also fixed the date for the next SDPDB-cum-advent Christmas on December 14.
