NPF minority wing awareness on COVID-19 in Dimapur

Naga People’s Front (NPF) minority wing held awareness programme with the motto, “let’s defeat novel coronavirus unitedly” under the leadership of central in-charge, Dr. S. Amos Lkr on September 30. 

A press release by NPF minority wing, central general secretary, Roshan BK stated that, programme was held in different pockets of Dimapur like Holy Cross Junctions, DC Court junctions, Singrijan and all the police stations within Dimapur jurisdiction.

Speaking on the occasion, minority wing president Bishnu Bhattacharjee said that the virus was going to stay here for some time as the vaccine was still awaited and therefore everyone must follow the safety protocols and maintain physical distancing in the markets and during the day to day activities. 

He also added that the virus can be kept at bay if everyone worked together. 

He also gave awareness on safe disposal of the masks and other safety kits and urged that instead of spreading stigma people should be kind to each other during this difficult time. 

In his speech he thanked the district administration and all the ranks and files of the NPF party for extending their cooperation to reach out to the people. 

Others who spoke included Bhattacharjee, vice president of NPF Dimapur division Tongzuk, president of Women Wing Vepranulu, working president of minority wing central Mukibur Rahman, GS of minority wing central Shiva Kumar BK, president of minority wing Dimapur division Shahid Barbhuiya and vice president of minority wing central Apun Naben. 

Officials from NPF central, youth wing, women wing, NPF Dimapur division also participated in the awareness programme, chaired by women coordinator of minority wing Puja Das Paul. Wangshikokla Jamir, GS women wing central gave invocation prayer.
