NPGN/NNC (N/A) under the leadership of Mhathung Tsopoe acting president and Kiyelho Wokhami general secretary will continue to uphold firm stand towards the framework agreement signed on August 3, 2015 between GoI and NSCN/GPRN (IM).

A press release from NPGN/NNC (N/A) through its MIP stated that, during its emergency meeting under the national tatar hoho held on June 3 had resolved on a two-point resolution. MIP stated that, national tatar hoho under the yezabo of NPGN/NNC (N/A) had relieved T. Ovung from the post of president for “misusing the power and function of the government”. It also informed that the national tatar hoho during its emergency meeting has found that one of his daughters had been assigned as MIP without the concern and knowledge of the hoho. MIP further stated that, “moreover T. Ovung (president) has appointed one Thomas Kikon who is neither a national worker of GDRN/NNC has given overall in-charge towards financial matters for his personal profitancy and as such he ruled over the government as a dictatorship by betraying the national yezabo of NGPN.” In this aspect, the hoho elected Mhathung Tsopoe as an acting president with effect from the date of its publishing. NPGN/NNC (N/A) also stated that despite attempts made by vested interest, NPGN/NNC (N/A) will continue to stand for Naga cause.
