All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has appealed to the NPSC to understand the urgent need of teaching faculty in various government colleges and conduct the examinations for the 110 asst. professors/librarian at one go without further delay. In a representation to H&TE minister, ANCSU president Vimeyiekho Vitso and education secretary Keneitsituo Kense acknowledged the state government’s positive response to the union’s demand for requisition of 110 assistant professors/librarian posts to NPSC.

ANCSU stated that 68 posts were created for the year 2018-19 and 42 posts for the year 2019-20, but the same could not be requisitioned for advertisement as created. The union said that 63 posts were been requisitioned to NPSC on July 9, 2019 and subsequently advertised on November 13, 2019, and 5 asst. professor posts created for CTE were proposed for conversion/review/exchange.

Further, ANCSU acknowledged the written assurance that the five posts would be requisitioned to the NPSC after necessary clearance from the P&AR department. Even as the remaining 42 posts were requisitioned to NPSC on September 3, 2020 for advertisement, ANCSU said it acknowledged the government for paying heed to the voice of the student community.
