NSCN/GPRN condolence

NSCN/GPRN has expressed pain at the untimely demise of ‘brigadier’ Kurichu, Naga Army, unit of CHQ on June 10 after a prolonged illness.

A press release from NSCN/GPRN through its MIP stated that, Kurichu was the eldest son of Tsiichi of Wuzu village under Tissary region and joined the national struggle in1986. During his illustrious career spanning 33 years, Kurichu served in various capacities with great distinction and courage till his last breath.
MIP stated that he was assigned and had commanded numerous operation till 2001, while from 2001 till 2010 he served as chairman of Tissary region. From 2010 till 2015 he was appointed as commander of Mobile-v, Naga Army unit, from 2015 till date he was assigned in the council headquarters unit.
NSCN/GPRN stated that the whole Naga nation proudly salute this brave soldier for his remarkable service to the nation, and the office of the president has posthumously promoted him to the tank of ‘major general’ of the Naga Army. He was survived by his wife, four children and two grand children. NSCN/GPRN also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul rest in peace.
