NSCN/GPRN (Reformation) has extended very warm Tuluni greetings to the Sumi Nagas.

NSCN/GPRN (R) through its MIP stated that Tuluni is celebrated in the first part of July and mainly on July 8. MIP said that Tuluni is one among many popular festivals of Nagaland and was of superior adherence to the Sumi people and celebrated with pomp. MIP also said that Tuluni, a harvest festival of the Sumis was celebrated after the sowing was done to invoke God's blessing for the productive season. Tuluni festival also observes the betrothal of young couples, where arrangement of wedding ties during this festival is considered ideal and believed to bring good luck.
MIP also stated that people express joy through dancing and singing, youths partake in indigeneous sports, cultural activities and feasts are arranged and prayers said. Sumis are known for their “bravery, courage and die-hard attitudes, yet simply chivalrous and respectful towards women folks” and with these qualities, the NSCN (R), is very optimistic that through this festivity, Sumi brothers and sisters will continue to shine in every sphere.
