NSCN (I-M), KTC hold consultative meet

Khiamniungan national workers of NSCN (I-M) and Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC) along with other civil society groups had a consultative meeting at Noklak on February 15, 2020 and reportedly discussed the ongoing “Indo-Naga” political talks particularly Pan Naga Hoho. 

In a press release, Khiamniungan national workers said that Khiamniungan people appreciated the NSCN (I-M) on the progress of “Indo-Naga” political talks and the decision taken on Pan Naga Hoho “if it would benefit the whole Nagas.”

The release stated that “they urged the NSCN negotiating team to leave no scope for doubt on Pan Naga Hoho.” It stated that Khiamniungan people also reminded the “mandate given to the NSCN by the Naga people. “They also express their aspiration that Naga political problem be solved at the earliest,” it added.

Further, the release stated that KTC, however, expressed concern for the Eastern Khiamniungans in particular and other Nagas in Myanmar. 

NSCN (I-M) delegation was led by Kilonser “maj. (retd.)” N.S. Thangpong and steering committee member M Longshen while from Khiamniungan civil society groups were represented by important members from the KTC led by KTC president L Ngon.
