NSCN (I-M), RN Ravi likely to meet in Delhi

Government of India (GoI) Representative and Interlocutor for Naga Peace Talks, R.N Ravi and NSCN (I-M) led by its general secretary, Th. Muivah are likely to hold a formal meeting during the third week of August in Delhi.

Highly placed sources informed Nagaland Post that the negotiating parties were likely to hold the meeting after August 15 (Independence Day celebration). 

Meanwhile, the sources also informed that Governor of Nagaland and Interlocutor R.N. Ravi, could leave for Delhi on August 10, 2020. It was also learnt that a nine-member of NSCN (I-M) leaders had left for Delhi Friday (August 7, 2020) by a chartered flight. The members included- Vikiye Sumi, Ruichumhao Raising, TT Among Sangtam, Limachuba, James Albert, Wungmatem Vashum, C.H. Kraibo, Meyong Phom and Zarshie Nyuthe.

Another source informed that a five -member delegation had left for Delhi via Guwahati on Thursday.

Earlier, the formal meeting between R.N. Ravi and NSCN (I-M) leaders, which was scheduled to be held in July 17, was postponed due to health issues of NSCN (I-M) ato kilonser and  chief negotiator, Th. Muivah. Later, on July 20, Muivah flew to Delhi by a chartered flight for treatment, accompanied by his wife and others. 

Meanwhile, when asked about reports that R.N. Ravi was likely to be replaced by a new interlocutor, a senior official, on condition of anonymity, said that there was no such move to replace Ravi at this juncture.
