NSCN (I-M) condolence

NSCN (I-M) has expressed grief at the untimely demise of late ‘Lieut. Col.’ Peter Sankhil Lamkang, MSM/meritorious service medal, Naga Army No. MN-22249 of the general headquarters (GHq), Naga Army from Paraolon village under Khurmi region on February 7. 

NSCN (I-M) in a condolence note through its MIP stated that late Peter was enrolled in the Naga national service on January 19, 1991 and had served the Naga nation with unwavering national spirit until his demise. 
MIP stated that the void created by his demise is deeply felt and would be difficult to fill in and further for his selfless contribution to the Naga national cause, his name shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and his sacrifice for the Naga nation ever be cherished by all. 
Office of the Longvibu, Naga Army bestowed upon him posthumously the rank of ‘colonel’ on February 7, 2020 in recognition of his service to the Naga nation. GPRN conveyed deep condolences to the bereaved family members and pray to the Almighty God to grant his soul eternal peace and rest.
