NSCN (R) condolence

NSCN (R) vice president, Akato Chophi through MIP has expressed pain at the demise of late Howoto Hollo, Akukau (GB) of Hovishe village, and eldest son to late Tolhopu Hollo.

In a condolence note, Akato said late Howoto served in various capacities in political, social and religious platform who was an ardent social reformer.
He joined the national movement during the 60’s and served in the Naga army under various capacities, and through his sheer calibre, potential and capability rose to the rank of additional district magistrate. He joined government service till his retirement as Head DB. After retirement, the late leader also served in social and religious forum as advisor in Western Sumi Hoho and as chairman ofWestern Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu executive council.
Akato described late Howoto as a dedicated and a selfless leader in various aspects, and in his demise has left a huge void, which has caused an irreparable loss to the Sumis in particular and the Nagas in general.
He further prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and the almighty Lord to provide solace to bereaved family members during the time of grief.
