NSCN (R) through its MIP stated that despite being terminated and ousted, former supervisor and defence, kilonser Khekato Kinny was still involved in collecting taxes in the name of NSCN (R).

In this regard, NSCN (R) has warned the “disgraced” former Kilonser to immediately refrain from such “ignominious actions” and to not take the patience of NSCN for granted, stating that it cannot remain a mute spectator but will initiate punitive action(s) as deemed fit. The NSCN (R) has also summoned joint secy Noghuka Kinnimi, leacy Ikishe and major Asheto to immediately report to the government within seven days from the publication of this notice. Failing to comply with this directive will compel the government to initiate stringent penalties upon the defiant cadres, the release stated.
Further, NSCN (R) has cautioned all concerned that Khekato does no longer represent the NSCN (R) in any manner whatsoever and henceforth “anyone conniving and cooperating with him in any of NSCN(R)’s affairs or paying him (or any of his cronies) any form of taxes shall be doing so at their own risk”. In the event of any such incidences of coercion or threats occurs, one may report to the NSCN authorities, the release stated.
