NSF asks NPSC to declare 2019 prelims results

DIMAPUR, SEP 26 (NPN) | Publish Date: 9/26/2020 1:15:22 PM IST

Pointing out that the results of NPSC combined civil services examination 2019 (prelims), which was conducted on November 30, 2019, were yet to be announced, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has, therefore, appealed to the NPSC to take all necessary actions and ensure that the prelims results were released at the earliest.

In a press release, NSF president Ninoto Awomi and secretary education Kegwayhun Tep said that current COVID-19 situation “cannot be the excuse for the state government from providing employment opportunities to the youths of the state.” As the whole world adapts to living with the virus, NSF said Nagaland cannot be an exception.
Further, NSF demanded that notification for recruitment to all the existing vacancies in group-C category be issued at the earliest through the newly set-up NSSB.
Expressing serious concern over what it described as “raging pandemic of unemployment” amongst the young educated youths of the state, NSF said that the unemployment problem has been compounded by the “unprecedented influx of returnees who were employed in various sectors outside the state.” It, therefore, urged the responsible authorities to address the issue by taking swift and favourable action.
